OUR STORY
AITS is a UK registered charity working in Sri Lanka to support orphans & widows particular of those who were displaced by civil conflict and the Tsunami and now living as refugees, struggling through the crippling hardship of poverty. We focus primarily on long term development for the most vulnerable poor and needy. Let us Thank Allah for what he has given us and share His favours by sharing a small portion of our wealth with the needy. We not only multiply our rewards but also enable millions in poverty to quench their on-going hunger and thirst. We have mentioned below some of our main projects to show you some of the ways you can work with us to deliver more than just words.

Our vision is that everyone should have a decent place to live and enjoy good health, education and a livelihood. AITS has a vision to root out extreme poverty in the lives of the most vulnerable in society, empowering them to create a future free from aid and injustices and we believe that the vision can be a reality, if we all join hands in following the teaching of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in helping the poor and needy..
OUR VISION
AITS is an nonprofit humanitarian relief organization based in the UK, registered with the Charity Commission. Dedicated to providing humanitarian services in crisis and non – crisis situations to most needy orphans, widows and destitute irrespective of race, religion and culture. AITS is working in Sri Lanka to bring change that eradicates and causes of poverty, striving to achieve dignity and freedom for all regardless of faith or nationality

MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN
Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmathullah
It is with the great pleasure that I write this message for inclusion in Al Ihsan Trust website, although in its infancy being in existing under six years have achieved a tremendous amount of charity work in Sri Lanka. You will see summary of projects delivered by Al Ihsan Trust, since January 2013 none of this would have been possible with out the help from Almighty, your prayers and generous donation. Al Ihsan Trust is thankful to Allah (swt) and then to our partners, downers, supporters and volunteers, who have joined this concern in making a difference by wiping the tiers of the orphans and bringing smiles to the widows, the duas of the oppressed continue. .
Providing over 2000 food hamper to the needy during Ramadan, assisting in sacrificing & distribution Qurbani meat to the needy who are mainly widows & orphanages during Haj are regular acts which we have engaged in. With the help of our partners and donor organizations, we have also distributed wheel chairs to the disabled in hospitals, homes for the disabled & individuals disabled persons. Al Ihsan Trust has conducted several eye camps with the assistance of Age Helping offering free glasses & cataract operations to those in need.
Al Ihsan Trust remains truly devoted & serve those you need irrespective of their race color or faces we also share a fundamental right a life of dignity, free of Poverty, exploitation & oppression. Al Ihsan Trust Sri Lanka (AITS) has grown significantly since it was first establised in January 2013, six years now AITS has been involved in helping the orphans and needy. Alhamdulillah every year we advanced in our cause of helping the needy. We ask Allah to accept the generosity of AITS’s donars. May their Sadaqah be a means of forgiveness, may it elevate their rank and may it be a shade for them on the Day of Judgement
With your generous support, our projects reach thousands of vulnerable individuals and communities every year.We would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation to all of our donars, implementing partners, team members and well wishers for their continued support.
